$5 Fundraiser for Ohana Dance Group

  • Federalist Public House 2009 Matsui Alley Sacramento, CA, 95816 United States (map)

Ka Hula O Kaponookalani, also known as Ohana Dance Group, is a non-profit, multi-generational hula kula where students of various ages, backgrounds, and abilities are exposed to the Hawaiian culture and music through traditional hula. Because ohana means “family”, our goal is to maintain a family-oriented atmosphere where students can enjoy learning about the Hawaiian culture.

Join us on Wednesday, October 12 for a fundraiser to help send their haumana (students) to O’ahu at the end of October to study under Lehua Kawaikapuokalani Hewett and celebrate his 50th year of teaching hula. $5 from every regularly-priced pizza sold will be contributed directly to Ohana Dance Group.

As a token of gratitude and celebration of culture, they will be performing several of their favorite mele (songs) between 6 - 7 PM. You won’t want to miss it!
